I think Virgos are awesome!! and have met some hippie ones. What do you expect when opposite sign is Pisces. My MC is Virgo. GypseeWindYes, my Mom was a real hippie back in the 60s, and she's a Virgo. The other day I asked her if she ever stayed in a community during her and my dad's travels. She said, "Eww, no, they were so dirty!" So I guess she was a clean hippie. The hippiest person I know is my daughter, she's a Pisces with Virgo Moon.GypseeWindThat was supposed to say "commune" but my phone doesn't believe that's a real word.SnowCatcher StawrMy mom is a Virgo Venus, Mars, and Pluto. Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/AquacheekaAren't all Virgos hippies? Maybe I just perceive them that way because they're so health-conscious. When I think of the quintessential Virgo, I think of a shiny, glowing Cameron Diaz on her surfboard or giving various interviews about the importance of staying strong and healthy as a woman (seriously, it's a running theme with her) and embracing your natural beauty. Or I think of Virgo sun/Virgo moon Blake Lively who gives off hippy vibes to me with her beachy waves. They always seem very all-natural and they usually eat clean... which to me is what a hippy does.I like Virgos but could never date one. Despite being gorgeous (and I even made a thread about why Virgo men are freakishly attractive physically), the ones I've met just didn't laugh spontaneously. At least, not the men. They were earnest and gave good advice but I have Mars in Sagittarius; I like men who laugh at absolutely everything and Virgo men are basically the opposite of that.PixieJaneThinking "Virgo hippie" made me think of the babysitter described in this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJi0GlC6v3o I'd guess it was the 1970s given that she was allowed to be a hippie in high school. Maybe this makes me a virgo hippi for sure... hmm.JanahAll of my GOOD friends are Virgo risers, and they are down-to-earth and hippie-ish in their own right. Oh, and I have a Virgo IC and I am into the natural ways of living. Organic and natural foods, walking without shoes, sheltering homeless cats and dogs, planting beautiful flowers and I am looking forward to creating a business selling authentic healing crystals, stones, etc. Virgos can be natural and materialistic @ the same damn time! next to neptuneI was a total hippie as a child, and I think I still am a bit (maybe not the classical therm) I really love everything natural, animal rights, the environment, organic everything and in a way I just wan't a "clean" earth in fact... liking organic stuff is very virgo-like actually :SBut I also wan't world peace, and a world where everyone is equal, in peace and harmony haha that's as hippie as it can get, but maybe it's because of my pisces moon enchantress299I always joke about having an "inner hippie." While I don't wear makeup often or use a lot of hair products, I DO like to look classic or professional (in other words, mainstream). And, on the surface, I am quiet, no nonsense, and I get things done quickly and efficiently. So people are generally surprised when I unleash my "inner hippie" which is far more into spirituality/the paranormal, compassion for all people, save the earth, being a dreamy philosopher, etc. than most of the people around me. I take a far more hands off approach to life than most people realize, and am very live and let live. It usually really throws people, because I guess I come off as very "in control" on the surface. I guess it's the fact that Virgo is a mutable earth sign- very stable, but at the same time open to new ideas/flexible. Aries23DegreesI think you should look at the whole chart and not just isolate one area.I know that a lot of textbooks tend to emphasize the Sun sign position a lot. PixieJaneBtw, I bet you'd really like this scifi novel that really pulled me in to "feeling 1967" that was so vivid (and my granny confirmed a lot of that, both the good, the bad, and the terrible):Summer of LoveIn addition to such a vivid description of the Bay Area of 67 it had science, future history (and how it, too, was flawed, no matter how criticizing the time traveler, or "tachyporter," from the future was of the 20th century savages), elements of the new age and occult, science, travel, and also...hard to explain, demonic entities of a sort who gave the novel a "Terminator" feel as their mission was to enter 1967 briefly at a "crossroads" that allowed such an intrusion in order to kill a young runaway who had left home to become a hippie and thereby destroy the future (which the tachyporter was sent back to prevent and finding himself over his head really fast as the "demons" took him into account as well).Randall quote:Originally posted by GypseeWind:That was supposed to say "commune" but my phone doesn't believe that's a real word.Eirlys quote:Originally posted by indigomoon8:I hate the textbook description f Virgo it doesn't fit me except I become critical when angered ...I feel more like an Aquarius Sagittarius Pisces mix.Definitely.One of my best friends.LEO on the cusp of 5th, and a bonafide stellium [5 (maybe 6?) planet conj] running from Leo to Virgo, within.Virgo sun/Leo moon/Taurus ascSun conj Pluto @ little more than one degree. He's a life-changer.------------------It's my Pisces Moon. ☆☾starmoon quote:Originally posted by Aries23Degrees:I think you should look at the whole chart and not just isolate one area.I know that a lot of textbooks tend to emphasize the Sun sign position a lot.
